Amazon supplier questions and a sample validation checklist
Before ordering inventory, turn your product requirements into questions suppliers can answer and checks you can document. A supplier claim still needs supporting evidence.
Need to organize your product idea and supplier assumptions first? Try the Free Reality Check. It uses your inputs to identify missing information and next questions; it does not verify supplier capability.
Start with a recorded requirement
Keep the requirement, customer problem, evidence references, and validation criteria together. This gives the supplier a specific question and gives you a basis for reviewing the answer.
If criteria are missing, define them before assessing the sample. Do not fill the gap with an assumed material, dimension, certification, or pass threshold.
General supplier questions
These prompts are general checks, not evidence-derived specifications for a particular product.
Confirm the requirement
Can you meet this recorded requirement? Describe the limitations and any changes you would need to make.
Ask for supporting evidence
Which test methods and results support your answer? Explain what was tested and which conditions or exclusions apply.
Compare samples with production units
What differences between the sample and supplied production units should we review before placing an order?
General sample review checklist
Use this process alongside the criteria for your own product. It does not establish that a sample has passed a test.
- Record the sample reference so observations can be traced to the item assessed.
- Assess each requirement against its recorded validation criteria.
- Record the method, observations, and supporting evidence separately.
- Review supplier evidence and unresolved limitations before accepting a claim.
Use the Supplier Validation Pack in your saved report
Where recorded product requirements are available, SkepticalProof prepares copyable Supplier Questions and a Sample Checklist. Both retain the requirement context, evidence references, recorded criteria, and caveats.
When requirements or criteria are absent, the pack says so. General checks are labelled separately. Supplier answers, observations, and test evidence require your review and are recorded separately; the pack does not save completed checks.
This is preparation for validation, not supplier verification, certification advice, or a guarantee of product quality.
Connect supplier validation to the product decision
STARTER is US$49/month and includes 30 Full Decisions per billing period. Supplier Validation Pack content depends on the requirements available in the report.
